Rita Adams learned that her sister’s church in Berwick (Bethany UMC) makes 12″Prayer Squares with strings sewn in that are used as a visual reminder that others are praying for them.

She has made some for us. A person can request a square for themselves or others. If the request is known by Thursday it will be printed in Sunday’s bulletin.

During the Sunday morning worship service a square will be placed on the altar and that person is mentioned during prayer time. After the service people are invited to go to the community room to tie a knot in the strings indicating their continuing prayers for that person.
